One of the best beaches to moor along the Northside. Dolphins, turtles and octopus hang out here and is rarely crowded.
Hawksnest is an absolutely beautiful spot to hang out. It's not as crowded as some of the other beaches and it is one of the only places that I've swam with dolphins! Lots of wildlife here and not much else. White sand beach for you to relax and take in the sights. The dinghy moorings are located up towards the beach on the right hand side. Once tied up, grab your snorkel gear and hop in (don't forget to put the ladder out!) The area is expansive and once you're secure, you're free to take as much time as you want exploring! Octopus can be found sometimes where there are a gathering of shells. Squid swim in schools here and there are Coral Banded Shrimp right under the rocks at Mermaid's Chair! Definitely worth spending some time here.
